FireFX Atlas Wood-Burning Stoves
The FireFX Atlas Wood-Burning Stoves combine contemporary Scandinavian-inspired styling with practical wood-burning performance. Their tall cylindrical bodies, curved viewing glass and clean architectural lines make them distinctive focal points for modern living spaces.
Available in three models, the Atlas 1, Atlas 2 and Atlas 3 offer a choice of height and flame presentation to suit different rooms and fireplace designs. Each model combines robust steel and cast-iron construction with modern combustion technology.
At Embers Heating Studio in Derby, we can help you compare the Atlas range and discuss which model is suitable for your home and installation requirements.
FireFX Atlas Wood-Burning Stoves: Compare the 3 Models
The Atlas range provides three different designs, each with its own dimensions and viewing experience.
- FireFX Atlas 1: The most compact model in the range, with a nominal heat output of 5 kW and a curved front viewing window.
- FireFX Atlas 2: A taller design with a 6.2 kW nominal heat output, additional side glass and a panoramic flame display.
- FireFX Atlas 3: The tallest model, featuring extended black glass detailing, side windows and an architectural cylindrical design. Its nominal heat output is 6.2 kW.
Atlas 2 and Atlas 3 are particularly suited to interiors where a wider view of the flames and a prominent stove design are important considerations.
Panoramic Flame View and Integrated Log Storage
The Atlas range is designed to make the fire a central feature of the room. A curved front viewing window provides a clear view of the flames, while Atlas 2 and Atlas 3 have tall side windows that extend the viewing angle to approximately 180 degrees.
The Atlas 3 adds extended black glass for a streamlined, contemporary appearance.
Each model also incorporates a lower log-storage compartment, providing a practical place to keep logs close to the stove while maintaining a clean overall design.
Efficient Wood-Burning Performance
The FireFX Atlas range incorporates Cleanburn technology to support combustion performance and an Airwash system designed to help keep the viewing glass clearer during use. A convector heat system helps distribute warmth around the room.
Key performance features include:
- Up to 82% published efficiency, depending on model.
- A+ energy efficiency rating.
- Nominal heat outputs of 5 kW for Atlas 1 and 6.2 kW for Atlas 2 and Atlas 3.
- Integrated external air connection.
- DEFRA exemption and Ecodesign compliance for the listed models.
- Integral heat shields and a design compatible with a 12 mm decorative hearth, subject to the manufacturer’s installation requirements.
For best performance, burn properly seasoned or kiln-dried wood with a moisture content below 20%. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for fuel selection, lighting, operation and maintenance.

Installation and Suitability
Choosing the right Atlas model depends on the room size, heating requirement, available fireplace space and the appearance you want to achieve.
Installation must account for the chimney or flue system, hearth requirements, ventilation and clearances to combustible materials. The manufacturer’s instructions and relevant Building Regulations must be followed.
The Atlas range includes an integrated external air connection for suitable installation designs. Discuss the available arrangements with your installer before preparing the fireplace opening.
